Obviously they did this event because of the paycheck. The interesting thing would be to know how little they all got paid to be there.
The Interlaken looks very different but the roads to the track don't. Great to see how little the track has changed over the years. Guard rails and fences added for safety but that original footprint lives on with fresh pavement. Running 30 seconds a lap slower than we do in the open wheel cars yet clearly using everything the cars had around those corners. Hauling the mail through 2, 3 and 4 averaging 60mph when we manage over 90 in the Skippy cars. I'm guessing the Austin 850 had an 850cc engine. Based on their standing start I'd say that looks about right. I'd rate their acceleration as perceptible. Really great find Doug... Thanks
