Watkins Glen race weekend

I'd like to thank everyone at SB for a great Watkins Glen weekend! The racing was great, and it the weather held off making it one of the best weekends I've been to at the glen in a while.

I have one question though which is that the previous two years I've been to the glen the race was 12 laps long, and this year it was only 10 laps long. Does anyone know why it would have been shortened by two laps over previous years?
