Great post CDH. Thanks for sharing.
My happiest days have been at the wheel of a race car, by far. Something about it just sets my soul free. If I know that my last days are upon me, I hope it can be there, at Lime Rock or Sebring. After that, watching the sun set from the cockpit of a Piper Arrow, walking the desert of Southern Utah or the foothills of the Himalayas, or swimming a secret protected inlet of the North Carolina barrier islands are pretty close.

Ditto...with apologies to Mike and the crew in EMS for the clean-up.

You can hear Simon Kirkby in the car coaching the driver and that looks like the Caterham that went to Watkins Glen for demo laps that Viz had a ride in. Nice story.

A local to WGI was very ill with cancer in 2009 so SB responded to his families request for a little seat time / hot laps. Short vid and comments about it in this thread

Thanks Doug for the link to the past.
I remember that day so well. I remember my feeling the first time I raced: I got out of the car and said "I cannot understand what the attraction to taking drugs is........ Right now I am higher than any drug could get me."
I have to agree..... If I knew I was going ..... I 'd want to check "Drive a Racing Car" off the list first.... maybe second, and third, and fourth, fifth, sixth and so on......
But I still can't link to the origional video... my screen shows a big blank area where the video normally is.
ps.... Going to the Glen this weekend 7/7 and 7/8. The Caterham is ready to take on EProduction again!

Yep, that was the car. Kudos to all who made this happen for him, both the driving experience and the ride along.
