NEW $695 HANS MODEL 30

Dear TJR Members,

Hans announced this week at the PRI show a low priced Hans device for $695 that can be used on Formula cars. The device will be identical to the present model but about 8 ounces heavier or about 2 pounds. This is not so bad considering that the weight is on your shoulders and not your neck. The model is due out in February but we need to get orders placed ahead of time to insure delivery before the season starts. I am taking orders now so if you would like one please call me at 1-800-275-4667 to place your order. This is a great opportunity to get the best neck protection at an incredible price so please do not waste time. Remember the normal 30ME is now $895 and is available now. I hope to hear from you soon.

You can not order this online.

Sincerely,
Bob Zecca

Hi Bob,

Just to clarify, it is 8 ounces (1/2 pound) or 2 pounds heavier?

My understanding is that it will be about 8 ounces heavier than the present model.

Re: NEW $695 HANS MODEL 30

I just saw it at PRI. It is noticeably heavier when you compare it back to back with the current models. However since it is being cinched down on your shoulders it is not something I would expect to notice while driving.

Other than the weight the only big difference is the 'wings' on the side are a bit higher and more pronounced.

Will this price be only on the 20M also?. I havent brought a device yet and since I may be racing sedans as well as SB that a 20 would be better to get (right?).

Re: NEW $695 HANS MODEL 30

I've been using a 30 in both formula cars and sedans with good results. I've seen others try to use a 20 in the formula cars and they end up not using it because of the uncomfortable fit. If you plan to buy only one device and use it in both types of cars, the 30 may be the best route.

Also saw the new model at PRI. In addition to the weight difference, the material looks a little different as well. Instead of the shiny polished carbon fiber weave, it's more of a matte finish, done like an injection molded piece. So, if you want some bling, go for the intermediate or pro models.
