I was wondering if there was any video of the LVMS track we will be running this week. I was also curious if the track is in the super speedway. LVMS.com doesn't seem to have any info and the track map from SB doesn't correspond with the infield map at http://lvms.com/seating_chart.html.
I have the track map from the SB site but wasn't able to figure out where it was in relation to the speedway. The LVMS site has no info and looked around TJR - not much there either. It must be the stepchild of LVMS.
Thanks again and if anyone else has any info I would appreciate.
I am trying to help a couple of skippy guys that have never been to vegas. Does anybody know where I can find video other than wanks with poor quality PCA videos of them on the rain line...? Thanks a ton.

It is outside the oval on the other side of the street and actually closest to the back entrance to the speedway copmplex. The track is kind of like a couple miles of marginal asphalt on the moon; black and brown are the only 2 colors. Hope that it isn't windy, as sand is an issue. There are basically no facilities other than restrooms at this track, so it is a far less than ideal place for the family to hang out for the day.
One more question, why is it that I can get better pictures of area 51 then the track?
From Youtube.com
“area 51” video results 1 - 20 of about 7,620
vs.
“LVMS outside track” video results 1 - 1 of about 1
“Las Vegas outside track” video results 1 - 2 of about 2
As far as the "track" at Vegas, might as well be Area 51. Feels like it when you're there. It's God-forsaken. A mutated kart track in the middle of the desert. Not up to usual Skippy standards. IMO they should lose it.

One clip I got from Bobo was a Port-O-Can almost being blown over by the high winds on an early lapping day. It was ugly, as were many of the pass attempts entering corners with constricting track width.....
On a positive note, you get to watch fighter jets take off/landing at nearby AFB.

Besides that, everyone is absolutely right. It's like racing on a moonscape.. The track was fun enough, especially since every lap can be different because of blowing sand.. This pic is a good clue... thats start/finish in the background. I don't know if the "chicane" was as entertaining as in 06, when we flipped 3 cars there, ( including the computer car), over the weekend, including the first rollover, on the very FIRST lap of the FIRST session on track for the whole week. An "A" for effort on that one.. LOL...
Last pic is from the Josh Rehm memorial that year..Hard to believe it's been 2 years already..
