Stopped in at RA yesterday & snapped a shot of one of the winter improvements.
There's a plaque nearby that says "Michael Andretti raced this IndyCar to win the Texaco/Havoline 200 at Road America August 18th, 1996..." It goes on to say "This #9600/11 Lola chassis is on loan from Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing, LLC, Carl Haas, managing member. Mr. Haas has served on the board of directors of Road America since 1987."
Interesting installation. I would call it "The Sword of Haas." (Could have been called the Sword of Andretti, but I don't think Michael knows what a sword is.) Gotta be a pretty trusting individual to work at that desk.
Is that a new building?

That's the new office building that replaced the farm house. It's a white building with a metal roof located on the outside of turn 14.
It's interesting the way it's hung there. I didn't take a picture, but there's one attachment point on the chassis near the rear axle to one section of "L" shaped 4" square tubing that's tied into the elevator shaft on the other side of the wall. It is literally hanging there with the tires about six inches away from the wall. They had to build a ramp over the front desk because it's not movable, then tip the car sideways to get it in the door, up the ramp and then used a comealong to ratchet it into position.
... Of course the legend will no doubt develop that Michael parked it there himself.

Quite impressive as you walk in the door.
