Re: "Michael Johnson Takes Steps..."
If anyone knows Mike personally, you might suggest that he and his physical therapists check out http://www.alter-g.com/. AlterG is a company that offers a new "anti-gravity" treadmill that allows one to exercise at reduced body weight. Among many other applications, military rehab hospitals are using it to help paraplegics and amputees re-learn how to walk -- allows one to walk normally but at an effectively lower body weight, and then gradually add weight as you strengthen. By way of full disclosure, my venture firm is a major investor and I am on the board of the company -- and I would be glad to help Mike access the technology if it would be helpful to him.

That is a great idea, Ross. The racing connection could make it an innovative, highly visible, and productive sponsorship relationship. Michael is a talented driver with dreams, grit, and maturity. I see him accomplishing his goals. Grant Maiman has been private coaching him, you can probably connect to Michael through him. Michael's still running the summer series which has 2 events left. If I get up to Autobahn next week, I'll certainly talk to him about it

Great stuff and great thread... None of which surprises me knowing Mike and his dad.
