Tips for Improving

Next track day or lapping day pick one skill to focus on improving, and don’t worry about speed or lap times. Say for example, start with your eyes and how you are using them. Be aware of where you are looking and how soon you’re finding your next reference points. Be conscious of looking as far ahead of the car as possible and just plan on spending the day improving this awareness. The most important source of information is your vision and so the more information you have, and the sooner you have it, the better your driving will become. This is one technique you can practice on the street, that way when you get back to the track it is closer to second nature.
