Of my two all time favorite automotive writers, if Denise McCluggage is our answer to Ray Bradbury then Russell Bulgin was our Ring Lardner.
In the May 21, 2001 Autoweek, writing about a prototype Jaguar with a revised Viper transmission:
"... the shift quality is beyond any Viper: not Porsche-precise, but accurate, and missing that waywardness across the horizontal axis that makes the occasional second-to-fifth upshift an integral part of losing your Viper virginity."
