I'll be heading to mid ohio for the skippy race and was wondering who is driving and who is flying? if anybody who is flying wants to share the rental ride from the airport to the hotel let me know. or if anybody is driving from ny and wants to share the driving let me know.

Would love to go but I spent my available racing bucks at Mont Tremblant. Having driven both tracks if I had it to do over again I would do it over again. MT is a terrific facility.

See if you can talk SBRS into eliminating the "bus stop" going into 2. It would provide a better passing zone.

OLDMAN, Are you out of your mind???

Mid-O already has a great passing zone at the end of the back straight, and the chicane leading into the keyhole is one of the most entertaining corners on the track.

Enter the gentle right flat out in fourth, then try to hang on to the rear end while simultaneously easing left, braking, getting the car down to second gear and rotated into the keyhole, then modulating the throttle to maintain the rotation without sliding wide of the keyhole's apex as the track starts falling away. Done right, and it is just one long, brilliant, fluid slide from the entry of the chicane to the track out of the keyhole. Wheeeee!!!

Of course, if you don't get the whole sequence right, the passing zone at the end of the back straight isn't of much use. Except to your competitors.

If it's not obvious from the above, I just love Mid-O.

and will of course be there over labor day. Would be happy to give anyone a ride from the airport, IF you happen to be flying into Akron on Thursday evening, rather than Cleveland or Columbus.

Both myself and Sid will be willing to go with you. BUT we need you to stop at ABE (Allentown) or Teterboro.

I have radios if you want to try them. They are not for sale but you can borrow them.

Jim, forget the "Selfish Bastard" and anyone who claims to "not be on SBRS" payroll. Albany is the only stop you need to make, Besides, Sportsman runners need to stick together on this. Trust me.

Too late. They were already donated to the mechanics fund but were rejected since they were in an unfit condition to be auctioned. Apparently Matt used them to mop up his mess from the "After luge "festivities!

Little late in the game, but to PT Cruiser and Oldman, SBRS has requested to run straight from turn 1 to the keyhole at MO, eliminating the chicane.

My bad for not anouncing that sooner.

The hope is to offer yet another passing zone.

What is the earliest on Saturday that the first race would be started? I have friends that want to drive up to the track on Saturday am and have no idea what time to tell them to arrive. How much of Saturday am is dedicated to qualifying? This is my first weekend so I am clueless on the schedule of things. Thanks.
