I pick Flavio Briatore...

to be the most bored guy of the weekend. Without hot babes running around, he won't need his Viagra. Kinda puts pressure on Alonso, no? I don't think young Fernando is up for that kind of pressure. So, I'll pick guys that won't miss the pitbabes and won't have their bosses' boot up their ***!

RB/RS/TS/OP
Williams

I take exception to your logic...

I defense of *** other "elder statesmen" of the grid, I take exception to your choice of Olivier Panis. Your suggestion implies that because he is the oldest driver in F1 (at the young age of 37), that he "won't miss the pitbabes" is an age discrimination lawsuit in the making.
Sy, let Michael vote again.

Re: I take exception to your logic...

While I was going to go with RB/RS/TS/OP/Williams, because someone couldn't wait for my picks, I've decided to go my own way, IF THE RACE HAPPENS:

MS
JPM
JB
MW
Ferrari

And my bonus pick: If the race actu***y happens, there will be some sort of "incident" involving the fundamentalist locals that will disrupt the race; either an on-track invasion (like the British GP last year) or some other act of protest. Even with no girls and no champagne, the decadent Formula One circus still fires up certain segments of the Bahrain society...

Rain in Bahrain?

Sato...Sato in the sand? You're joking, right? And Panis? I know my company gives the team a nice financial boost but it ain't gonna happen? And Webber. Jaguar in that heat...maybe if Camel cigarettes were their sponsor.

More KABLAMOS this week than any other race this season.

My picks
MS (nobody's is gonna figure out a new track faster)
FA (he wants in on the championship)

JB (Has to do well or they'll pummell him in the press)
GF (see Schumacher. GF is a close second. Also wants to get to Ferrari BEFORE FM. Needs points)

Ferrari (the only team that won't detune in the dunes)

If these guys have gone through the trouble...

...and expense of gluing down the desert, they're gonna make damn sure there isn't going to be an incident at this first F1 in the Middle East.

No matter how many oil dollars it takes.

Prediction: Only F1 cars will be going KABLAMO in Bahrain

Did someone say "let's bet on it?"!

You are on Sy. Standard bet? $20 says KR finishes higher than JPM?? Don't worry, I c***ed the insurance co.. I am protected against McLaren Kablamo #3!

You can pick the second bet... I'm in.

yikes...

1- I think Craige cheated! I'm not sure how, but I'll get to the bottom of it!
2- I need a ruling from the peanut g***ery... Sy never responded to my last post. Do we have a bet? Of course I wouldn't be asking if Kimi actu***y crossed the finish line!
3- Speaking of which, OUCH. Who would you least want to be right now... Kimi (has he turned in enough combined laps for a complete race so far this year? The head of engine design for MB? Or, JPM? He must re***y be looking forward to next year when he can race Kimi to F1 oblivion!
4- Sorry Altemus... the only Kablamo was Kimi... no extracuriculars in the desert :-(

Actu***y, your own text provides plenty of proof that the bet is on. I didn't need to respond to make it valid (other than the fact that it's illegal, which makes it invalid, but who here obides by the law in any way, anyway?)

#1. You said "You are on Sy" - The bet is set.
#2. You said "Standard bet?" - the amount is set.
#3. You said "I c***ed the insurance co.. I am protected against McLaren Kablamo #3!" - you obtained insurance, confirming your intentions to bet with a 3rd party. Meanwhile, you keep collecting on insurance - you must have the worst loss run in the business. How do you keep getting coverage?

Come on buddy... keep up

1- "You are on" clearly referred to the desire for a bet, as it responded to your query of " do we have any money on this weekend's race?", not, as you suggest, acceptance of a particular wager.

2- The "?" at the end of the phrase "standard bet?", expressly suggests confusion over the wager you or I might agree to. This is compounded by the fact that for Rounds 1 and 2 we had different bets, thereby raising the question of the definition of "standard".

3- Check the laws of this country... not sure about where you come from.. but here our wager is perfectly legal. What is illegal is a "house" which facilitates gambling and takes a "rake" or "vig".

4- I keep getting insured by telling people I know you. They pity me and throw their risk tables out the window.

5- If you ask around... you might find that I indeed "Cut it" more than once. Whatever the hell that means!

Re: Did anybody see Juan Pablo's dad on the broadcast?

I looked at it last night, and it looked like he was wearing black walking shoes, not sneakers. I didn't recognize them at ***, but then again I'm not an expert at shoes. Please confirm that you're referring to the scene where he was walking with Connie who by the way looks like she has a re***y nice body.

Dear Sy,

Thank you sooo much for checking your TiVo, but we have one of our very own, thank you. Tell your wife I said hello and tell her I said she is very lucky to have such an obviously devoted and faithful husband.

However, I'm sorry to hear you're loosing your eyesight 8) and your sense of HUMOR :lol .
