2005 French GP - Picks, Results & Review
You must have your picks in by THIS Saturday, July 2nd, 7AM. Please check your pick totals by clicking here, which will also give you the full spreadsheet. Make sure you're not over the limit on any of your choices. THERE ARE MULTIPLE TABS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SHEETS - Click on them to see your pick totals, etc...
For the actual excel spreadsheet itself, you can download it by clicking here.
As always, don't edit or post your picks after the deadline. If you want to change previously made picks, but the system doesn't let you edit your post, just go ahead and reply again with new picks. The new ones will override the old.
Good luck!
Here are the current standings and your current pick totals (it tells you how many you've used, not how many you have left..):

Sy, I don't know what the hell you are talking about. I thought MS is now tier 2, he just finished ahead of the Minardis and the Jordans...

FYI - Team Duo chose RS, which he had already used 4 times this year. So his RS pick is disqualified.

Re: 2005 French GP - Picks are due HERE by 7AM on Saturday July 2
So the scores after the Gribbit Grand Prix have been tallied, and JuicyJules has taken the lead from DalyDuo. That's right, we have a GIRRRRRL kicking our butts. Julia, the floor is yours. And I for one, am scared...
Here are the results and standings for this week, plus the graph:
Please check your picks by clicking here, which will also give you the full F1 game spreadsheet - click here There are a bunch of pages on the spreadsheet - you can navigate through them by clicking on the tabs at the bottom of the page. It contains lots of useless and exciting graphs and formulas, etc..
For the actual excel spreadsheet itself, you can download it by clicking here.

Re: 2005 French GP - Picks are due HERE by 7AM on Saturday July 2
I used my final RS in the Yahoo game this week and forgot to check the Juicy listing. It actually saved me a pick because the choice I would have made instead didn't finish in the points so the mistake saved me from wasting that pick..

Re: 2005 French GP - Poetic Justice
Its time to review and the pleasure is all mine
To describe weekend events but this time in rhyme.
Where shall I begin with this first F1 race
That follows the US Grand Prix, a disgrace!
At least the points this week were better than before
In the last race only 8 out of 26 had a score.
Admittedly it was then that I picked up my pace
That helped put me in the running to come ahead in this race.
Pat my dear, despite your mistake you must agree
You would have been behind me with one point not three.
Ray you kept your position, but brother beware
Tocho up four places might beat you up there.
Gman despite your good picks in this race
You only were able to sneak up one place.
LAF1 it’s a shame that your zero last week
Has only put you ahead by a point, pretty bleek!
Team Tomahawk with 19 points you might smile with glee
But only one point ahead of the Badger and his group X3
Puts you and the Gman in the same unlucky boat
No points from last week makes your chances remote.
Birkmama, I must say that despite all your style
You are still unfortunately at the bottom of the pile.
Cmac is keeping a strong steady pace
Who knows – you may still get a podium in this race.
Now the Dude and the Wolf are acting like they do on the track
Taking turns to go ahead and then to fall back.
It’s a tactic that doesn’t work as you both shall find
Because Sy who was three points ahead is now three points behind!
Mpowa with your dismal performance this week and the last
Your chances of winning are now in the past.
Don’t worry you are not alone with the podium out of reach
Because right there behind you is Fitilepeach.
Though it seems that the distance to the top is so wide
We still have 9 races so enjoy the ride
If Jimal can score well on his first try in this race
That should motivate you slow pokes to pick up the pace.
Being at the top is a wonderful thing,
As Mel Brooks once said “it’s good to be the King!”
So endeth my review for the Froggy Grand Prix
Next week is Silverstone so pick carefully.

Re: 2005 French GP - Picks, Results & Review
Birkmama has to admit,
Jules this review is a hit.
However, I shall warn you stern,
Not only the Jedis do return.
Even after a lowly showing in France
Schuey still knows there is a chance.
Don't write me off as of yet,
with a vengeance will I be back.

Re: 2005 French GP - Picks, Results & Review
What's the matter Jules honey? Can't think of anything that rhymes with "fax."
And did anyone notice that all the "top" players picked AFTER I did? Who do you guys think you're kidding? I want private balloting or I'm leaving! This game stinks! I'm going back to Yahoo where I'm in 5th place. I mean think about it - MPOWA and I are in 10th and 11th? Do you all really think you know what you're doing?
I mean a girrrllll is winning this competition! What a joke!
If I'm not on top, it's not worth my time.
So there.

double the ego.. twice the fall!
Nurse it with a martini and a remote control programmed NOT to go to Speed Channel!
As for rhyming with "fax" - how about...
"Among those of you who didn't move is Shadowfax
who it seems to me needs more time on the tracks.
But he is upset and annoyed and his nerves over taxed
so beware all you guys (& gals), and COVER YOUR BACKS!"
And as to "knowing what we are doing?" Apparently better than you, baby!
but don't worry y'al - the Don is all bark - he is surrounded by successful "girrrlllls" and wouldn't have it any other way!
I know Don "honey" - the conflict is real
but all in all - you just have to deal!
you know I love ya baby!
oh.. decisions...decisions....decisions...

Re: 2005 French GP - Picks, Results & Review
They Don't Call It "Wampum" for Nothing
Just for the record,
just for the books,
for those who picked Michelin's,
I think we got rooked.
For those who picked Brigestone,
don't boast or brag loudly,
at the end of the day,
you just beat Minardi.
Yes, there were others,
but give me a break
that team was bought with money
from a former Soviet state.
A race among thieves
who stole from the fans
who care about nothing
but the cash in their hands.
And where did this happan
where did the fiasco take place?
It's called Indianapolis
a theft from a different race.
Ill gotten gains
will never suffice
for those who know better
you just rolled the dice!
And what have you prospered,
what have you won?
A place in the history books
beating next to no one.
I know you won't ask me,
but what would I do?
I'd give up my points
and then apoligize too.
It's the end of my season
and oh what a shame.
'cause Indy's the reason
I lost this silly, damn stupid, god awful bad game.

Re: 2005 French GP - Picks, Results & Review
Worry not, my countersteering friends
Donald's picks are not at an end
He is a man of jest and prefers to confound
those with differing opinions which always abound
So take his lashes with a smidgen of doubt
as he throws and smashes his words to rout
all you Michelin pickers and your teams in the way
of the steamrollerin' Shadowfax that intends to win the day
And now its time to praise all of you
Who've proven to all that our artistry is true
not just with cars or with speed or with trash talk to amuse
But with the incredible words you have so eloquently used.
You guys are awesome. I'm so fahklempt.
