He's a brilliant improvisational performer but I always come away from his pieces thinking "There's six minutes of my life I'll never get back again" because the whole exercise is about him masterfully wasting other people's time. Like a carney barker, he's doing tricks to hold and redirect attention for absolutely no reason other than to string you along and mess with you. Trump figures it out quickly and makes a remarkably clean early exit. The others are well meaning victims of his creative hubris. A remarkable act. It takes a very smart man to play a stupid man convincingly and he does it well.

He was granted interviews on the premise that he hosted an 'urban-culture' tv program, and that he represented British inner-city youth. The character he created in effect forced many of the people he asked to interview to accept, simply out of fear of discrimination. After a couple of years, everyone in the UK knew who he was, and he was no longer able to get interviews. And that's when he came to the US.

I agree completely. He may be gifted, but is this really the kind of gift to be proud of? This is the kind off behavior that stifles legitimate inventors'/ entrepreneures ability to showcase their ideas. What a waste of 6 minutes

As far as the video goes, things like that just don't strike my fancy. I find it absurd and rude, but if you guys enjoy it then have fun. Just be warned that the next time I see another one of those clips I'll be screaming bloody murder

Can anyone tell me the name of the Question Structure that this Ali G person is using to engage his victims? I've heard of rhetorical, interogatory, and open ended questions, but I'll be damned if I can id this one.
