You are Invited to Compete in Le Mans 24 Hour Kart Race
Some of you I already know as you have raced with us at Lime Rock or other tracks in the US,
including the season ending race in Moroso, where Skippy racers came with multiple teams.
This year we going with three teams to the 24 karting race at Le Mans.
I am very excited about going to this race, going to this legendary track and getting to meet new and friendly
competition. We were looking for a new challenge this year, and I know we will not be disappointed.
Racers all over the world dream of racing at Le Mans. And for some racers this dream could become
a reality, as we will represent the United States in the 24 Heures du Mans endurance kart racing event at
Alain Prost Circuit June 30 to July 2, 2006.
We have competed in the 24 Hours of Evora in Portugal, scoring podium finishes in three of our four
attempts. In order to diversify our participants’ racing resumes, we will visit the nine-turn French track,
located one hour by European Super Train from Paris.
Forty teams participated in the 2005 Le Mans 24 Hour race, and event organizers expect the same kart count this year.
Teams from New Zealand, Cyprus, Palestine, Isle of Man, England and a BAR Honda F1 team are scheduled to compete
this year.
The three teams that we are bringing are: Team
Eagle, Team Spirit and Team Red, White and Blue. Two teams have been filled, but we are seeking
three drivers for our third team. Karts will be provided by event organizers. Each kart has dual
Honda engines flanking the driver and mounted on a Biz kart chassis, also known as a Pro kart. The
engine and chassis combination is great fun and the engine provides great torque.
This is not just for professional drivers; everyone can participate. This is the opportunity to see
dreams come true by racing at Le Mans.
All Skippy Racers will get the discounted 2 plus race price going to France - $1,495. So if you fancy it (or
just want to tell your grandchildren you raced the 24 Heures du Mans) give me a call.

Re: You are Invited to Compete in Le Mans 24 Hour Kart Race
I admit to being new to this area of racing, karting. Is that the price to go & race, just to race, just to go? IDK but I am sure some1 will let me know something about it. Thanks much.
