Just saw a Cayman

I saw a Cayman at Fairfield Porsche this morning and it is just gorgeous. I have liked it in photos but some have said they weren't sure. This is one of those designs that looks better in the skin, it's a beautiful car with performance that will def take some 997 sales.

I am also Boxster-less for the first time since June 1997

I told my dealer that I would see him in 2.5 years to order my Cayman........wow

The good news is the JC Works Mini S has arrived and I will be picking it up after our trip so into the Mini era I go (at least for a few years )

Re: Just saw a Cayman

Dude, a huge congrats on your new car - may you enjoy it in good health. It's going to be a mean little machine the way you've built it, and I can't wait to see it. What are the colors again?

Thanks, should be a lot of fun. I decided on the TJR Classic color scheme from an earlier thread....

Re: Just saw a Cayman

Good choice... you'll never see another one like it and it'll be real easy to pick out in a parking lot.

Re: Just saw a Cayman

Yeah congrats Doug! It is the week of new cars... although my new car is a bit less sporty and more of a functional thing for a family of five. More about it here.

It fits us all with room to spare, and since it does not have a manual transmission, Joyce will drive it.

Re: Just saw a Cayman

Cdh..where did the Boxster go? Seems like you gave up your trademark! Felt neutered when I let me Miata go this past summer for a more powerful ride.

Saw the Cayman yesterday as well when I had my Cayenne in for service...Silver on black. Was a beautiful looker. Much nicer off paper just like you say. Remains to be seen whether Porsche can have a first issue car without the electrical gremlins they seem to have issues with of late.

Getting tired of seeing the local Prosche service manager more than I go for groceries!
