Angry Skip Barber Website Woes

Is anyone else getting frustrated by the lack of updating on the Skip Barber website regarding classes and seat
availability.
Twice this morning I called and was told that the classes are full but the website shows seats.

Re: Skip Barber Website Woes

There are "issues" with operations related to low staffing and new faces in the steep part of the learning curve. This is a symptom of that.

Do what I do and keep Evan G. on speed dial...

Seriously, though, they've all been really helpful. Once you realize the website is only correct for dates, not seats, you have to go that route anyway.

Evan G's last day with the company was a week ago Friday. Chris K. would be a better bet now.

No crap! Well, a speed dial slot just opened up. Is Chris is GA or CT?

Don't know what GA or CT is. They used to call them CSR's (Customer Service Reps) but whatever the current acronym he's the guy you want to talk to about seats in a program.

Ah, that is sad indeed. Even was fantastic, and one more solid rep leaves the company. (By the way, GA is Georgia, and CT is Connecticut.)

Re: Skip Barber Website Woes

Thanks Ted... Misinterpreted the typo. Evan was in CT and I think Chris is in CT also but not 100% sure. Last I knew Chris was in the Northeast and probably CT.

Re: Skip Barber Website Woes

I spoke to Evan, he is leaving on his own accord and he has a good gig lined up with long-term potential. I was lucky enough to always have good CSRs over the years, but Evan was the very best. Extra mile every time.

Sadly, I see the continued loss of experienced and diligent hands leading to operational "issues" becoming the rule rather than the exception.

Re: Skip Barber Website Woes

Quite honestly it happened again today I called about the 2 day high performance class at Lime Rock in August and yep you guessed it shows seats on the internet but when you call the class is full.
What's the point of having the website anyway???

Re: Skip Barber Website Woes

Sounds like they need a good programmer to work on their scheduling software...or work on a new system. That said, I booked my slot 90 days out (that extra discount will cover my travel/expenses while there).

Re: Skip Barber Website Woes

That website caused me a fair bit of grief also, I kept thinking"no worries lots of seats"untill I tried to book 90 out to save and jeff lail informed me it was sold past August....he felt bad as he knew it showed green on seats , so he created a new class for me and my buddy and then it filled before the day was out. Jeff went well beyond the call of duty and I hope they dont loose him, but they really do need to fix this properly, just makes good buisness sense....at skippy a squealing tire is a happy tire!....love that.......ninja
