Many Skip Drivers have great day in Bama
Grand-Am at Barber Park today and what an excellent race, what a great series, many Skip friends racing. John Pew and Ozz Negri finished P2 in DP in the Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley, a great run against a very tough field. Ricky Taylor put the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Ford Dallara on pole and walked the field in his opening stint, a hell of a performance for this future champion, happy for you and brother Jordan who was P3 in GT. Instructor Jonathan Bomarito put his RX8 on GT pole and finished P2. John Edwards was always in the mix and finished GT P5 - awesome racing all

Re: Many Skip Drivers have great day in Bama
I saw this race on TV and it was def. a good race to watch! the Battle that was taking place in the GT class between the RX-8's was very fun to watch. I have to say, the Taylor brother's both drove very well in the GT and DP class! much props!

Re: Many Skip Drivers have great day in Bama
Thanks CDH!
We actually finished up P2, ahead of Bomarito/Tremblay. It was probably my best racing weekend I've ever had. The GT battle was crazy, lots of good racing throughout the pack after that last restart.
The Continental race was pretty cool too, I found out I was going to do it last week with APR Motorsport in their Audi S4. I literally got out of the Mazda after that race, drank a bottle of water, ran to the Audi, and was so late that I had to do the recon lap with no seat belts. But they were able to get me buckled in on the grid after that lap. We were running in second quite comfortably, and then when I handed it over to Ian Baas, the exhaust broke and was putting fumes into the car, so we had to stop. It was a bit disappointing, but that's racing.
It was a great weekend for all of the Skip Barber guys!
The Continental race will be on SPEED on April 17 at 3:00 PM ET.

Bravo and well done to you and your brother, Jordan. We're are all smiles and not surprised given what we already know about both of you behind the wheel. Very good stuff.

Re: Many Skip Drivers have great day in Bama
I echo your sentiments cdh-- great to see so many Skip names right there in the middle of everything.
That pass by Memo Rojas was cut about as finely as I've ever seen-- not only to miss the car ahead but then not out brake himself into the corner-- strong stuff.
