Arrow What would you pay for a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt?

We're putting together the 2006 Team Juicy Racing merchandise line benefitting the mechanics fund, and I'd like to see what interest you guys have in buying a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt. It would be a Delta-C Nomex shirt, OMP quality, which is in my opinion the best. Soft soft soft. We'll come up with some embroidered or silk-screened graphics to make it look really snazzy, too.

Please let me know what is the highest price point that you would be interested. These things are expensive to begin with, so we need to know how far we can stick our hands in your pockets to come up with cash for the mechanics!

Be aware that retail OMP and Sparco shirts are in the $75-100 range.

Also, please let me know if you prefer a plain crew neck T-Shirt, or if you prefer a mock shirt.

Thanks

Sy

Re: What would you pay for a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt?

I"m in - maybe we can pre-order a stockpile for the Western Series as well....maybe you can get BLACK colored shirts, not sure if OMP makes those.... It looks meaner and hides stains better.....

Re: What would you pay for a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt?

Al, we can definitely get stuff made up for the Western Series. I'm not sure about black Nomex shirts yet, but we'll try. I'm sending you my info via PM - give me a call and we'll try to arrange.

Re: What would you pay for a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt?

Here is an up-to-the-minute unauthorized report from the TJR Product Development Department on additional new clothing items currently in the design and product testing phases, as well as potential tag lines from the TJR Marketing/Spin/BS Department:

1. TJR Nomex Thong. Colors: black, red, natural, unnatural. Women’s $0.95/each (incentive pricing), men’s $200/each (disincentive pricing). “Fight the fire down below.”
2. TJR Skip Barber Timing & Scoring Jamming Device. Replaces SBRS signal with pre-selected lap times and finishing positions. Programs include “Lap Record,” “Leader’s Time Minus 00:01,” and “Up Through the Pack.” Proven to improve regional series standing. $1,000 (Championship Group), $750 (Sportsman Group), $29.95 (Masters Group – programming lesson included). "Know where you'll finish before you start."
3. Snell 1970 open face helmets. Color: white with contrasting black cracks and scuff marks. Unisex $19.95/each. “Minimal protection at minimal cost.”
4. TJR official Mechanic’s Fund T-Shirt collection. Three styles: “I only let Skip Barber mechanics twist my nuts.” “I only let Skip Barber Mechanics handle my undercarriage.” “I only let Skip Barber Mechanics jack me up.” Men’s sizes only. $50/each.
5. TJR Jessica Simpson signature model Nomex underwire bra. Ms. Simpson’s signature is an “X” and the crossed underwires function as an antenna for in-car radio (ear-buds included). Also acts as a personal floatation device (good for semi-annual Lime Rock monsoon racing) and deploys a driver air bag in an emergency. Size XL only. Custom fitting by TJR staff required. Price negotiable (send photo).

Re: What would you pay for a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt?

Black is going to be too expensive, I think. The only way to get a black shirt is to get it made out of CarbonX, which I can't seem to buy for less than $70 or so apiece in bulk. Factor in the silkscreening, shipping, etc. and you guys will have to pay over $150 to make it worthwhile for the fund.

We'll know more about the entire line shortly, though, and will update you all.

Given that moniker you will, of course, have to pay up front.

Pat -

Jonathan- While we're on the subject (of you!) I hate to bring this up... but isn't there a rumor going around about you "short braking a student" and "causing a major crash"...? Care to comment? The only reason why I ask is that it just might seal the deal on you having to pay up front for that shirt!

Re: What would you pay for a Team Juicy Nomex Shirt?

Welcome to TJR Paul,

We'd be happy to accept your offer and we can even sweeten the deal to two shirts for your old English car. (We would offer three but we'll need to keep at least one shirt to mop up oil leaks.)

I'm hoping to knock your socks off with a very cool new line of TJR stuff at VIR.

But you may just get a very good glimpse of all the new goods on this website tonight, maybe tomorrow.

Stay tuned!
