Re: The official Post a Fun YouTube Video thread..
Really entertained by the Glen drama. The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but look at the big picture here...
Boris is a bright guy and a hard racer running a limited schedule with ZERO personal stake in the points.
Boris is driving a back door Hendrick development car and assisting the Hendrick squad with road course testing/coaching.
Boris has a spanking new BMW dealership in Cali with Hendricks help.
If anyone in the Roush/Ford camp thinks that Boris would be inclined to give an inch of racing room, they are sadly mistaken...
Know who you are racing.
Boris had nothing to lose and aside from trying to get a good finish for himself his main task was to take as many points away from the blue oval and further the chase hopes of team Hendrick...
I'd say Boris was doing his job and the Ford chase players that chose to engage him paid the price.
It wasn't pretty, but it was not unexpected.

Ditto, Stevie D. And never take your helmet off when you're angry.

DO SECURE ALL CLOTHING AND PERSONAL POSSESSIONS.
DO KEEP HANDS, ARMS, LEGS, AND FEET INSIDE THE TOUR AT ALL TIMES.
DO KEEP ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT FASTENED UNTIL THE OPERATOR INSTRUCTS YOU TO EXIT.
DO STAY ON THE TOUR UNTIL IT COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP AND WAIT FOR THE OPERATOR TO INSTRUCT YOU TO EXIT.
DO NOT ENTER OR DISMOUNT THE TOUR UNLESS IN THE AREA DESIGNATED BY THE OPERATOR.
Just amazing, they keep topping themselves, WTH is next? Gotta love the gorilla, exhaust detonations and super slomo

First of all. Stevie.. that's the best avatar pic ever !!
Right on about all those points raised Stevie... not exactly unexpected..
pretty funny hearing Greg Biffle talking about "5th grade, meet me by the fence" after school fights... Only thing is, most 5th graders are not 6ft +, 200lbs. + (Boris) and 5'8" and 150lbs (Greg)... Well, then again, there probally ARE a few 5'8" 5th graders.. lol..
Greg was, and probaly Boris too, AWFULLY lucky that Boris did NOT get his hands on him in the heat of the moment. A good punch from a fist Boris' size would probaly break Biffle's jaw or eye socket.
I think if Will Power could have gotten his hands on Brian Barnhart, he would done his best to try the same.. He was FUMING as he should have been... That BS about Barnhart not hearing anything on the radio from teams/drivers about how awful the conditions were and begging to NOT restart is exactly that..... BS. Barnhart is ALWAYS on the radio. Usually telling the drivers what to do/ how to drive. It'd be one thing if it was an isolated incident, but he has shown time over time that he thinks he knows better than the drivers...

Roger,
Glad you liked the avatar...
For all the challenges that IndyCar faces, it doesn't need the constant erosion in credibility that stems from the laughable officiating.
Brian Brainfart has painted himself into a corner on several occasions with his contrived rules and complete lack of consistency on calls.
It's time for him to step away and put an ex driver in the stewards chair.
Someone who would call a spade a shovel...
Pancho Carter comes to mind.

Pancho Carter thread hijack: Back in the mid-late 60's I was a teenage pit rat for a friend's father's TQ. Every summer Pancho & Dana Carter would roll in from California in a motorhome towing a California style Kurtis 4-bar TQ - air cooled Honda engine, Weber carbs, engine turned gold leaf numbers, Kandy paint jobs, Halibrand magnesium wheels, chrome front axles & radius rods, the works. And oh by the way, they were also fast and Dana could drive. We were one of the locals, second generation (third if you counted us rats) TQ'ers. 4 bar chassis built from chromemoly tubing scrounged from scrapped Army Air Corp trainers and a liquid cooled Crosley engine with Triumph Amal carbs on a homemade manifold. But our guy was also fast and we had the benefit of an unspoken permissiveness in certain areas of rules enforcement. Like the UMRA officials looked the other way when the car was running on nitromethanol. After practice our car owner would huddle with the driver then turn to one of us and say "we need a gear change, go get me one of those little Dixie cups". On nitro the Crosley would belch a 3 foot long blue flame out the exhaust. The fumes brough tears to the eyes of everyone within 50 yards. Sadly, Dana was killed in TQ pavement race a couple of years later at the Kittley Ave Speedrome in Indy.

UPDATED MAY 9, 2011: Just eight days after its first flight, Phantom Ray completed its second flight on May 5 at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. Phantom Ray took off at approximately 12:15 p.m. Pacific. Similar to its first flight on April 27, the autonomous vehicle taxied, flew to 7,500 feet, conducted several maneuvers and landed safely after a 17-minute flight. Phantom Ray seeks to demonstrate advanced technologies. Full Story

Thanks for sharing that Pancho Carter story, Mike. Puts me right there. You should share more of the memories of your well-spent youth for those of us who misspent ours.

Biffle should watch this before messing with Boris...

go all the way to the bottom of that page to see that even some of the best don't always get it perfect every time...
Notice the spring rebound during launch that is usually to subtle too see on road/GP bikes...
Some good education for those that don't know or stop to think of the origin of the term "tank slapper". I'll take one of those on 4 wheels than 2 any day. Haven't highsided since I was in my teens and I'd like to keep it that way thank you...
Re: The official Post a Fun YouTube Video thread..
Whoa... that cat needs shorter handlebars. See what you mean about two wheel tank slapper. Agreed much preferred on four wheels.
Impressive.

The videography, music and Danny's courageous creative execution is moving art. Thanks for sharing it Sy...
There's a brief shot of him holding a soda can that also reveals ugly abrasions on his forearm and elbow. Bet there's an amazing out take reel from this shoot.

Doug, what you do single-handedly is as impressive as what they pulled off with a squad of dozens for that commercial. Thanks Harsha for posting not only the commercial but also the production aspects.
