Helmet tape job

While in Home Depot last week I bought a two dollar fifty cent package of vinyl multi-colored electrical tape with the notion that it might be an easily reversible medium for helmet decoration until I can do a proper paint job.

With no obvious plan or design sense I played around with the tape for about 35 minutes and came up with these results. Wore the helmet today at LRP during lapping sessions and it held up well. Was impressed how bendable the tape was though I did reach its limits as the red circle on top has some creasing at the front edge.

If you're looking for temporary measures to set your white or plain colored helmet off from the crowd you could easily surpass these results with just a whiff of color or design sense.

Re: Helmet tape job

Dude, it came out very very cool. I think you could add a few more lines to the bottom/back, and it will be complete. Great idea overall, too.

PS - I'm moving this to Driver's Gear.

Re: Helmet tape job

Thanks Doug,

Yes, I used tape for its easy removal properties. Should be a piece of cake to remove and prep for Kryloning. :-)
