VIR 13 hour

Anyone going to be at VIR this weekend? I'm driving with Long Road Racing in a SpecMiata. It's about time I get back in a racecar!

Re: VIR 13 hour

Greg Strelzoff, John Edwards and Dr. Mike Edwards finished 19th overall and 6th in the SM class that Phil, Tyler and Jonathan won. Bravo to both teams doing so well in a 60 car field!

We were in 1st, 2nd or 3rd for 99% of the race and had a real chance of winning.

Phil ran with the same team that we did and during a pit stop they got a chance to make our alternator die
this meant two 10 minute pit stops for us which killed us.

John set the fastest SM time of the day during the night in heavy traffic - we have no idea how.

My first stint was a blast - the track was drying w a single dry line around the track so it was really hard to over take.

I had a lot of fun battles.

My 2nd stint was boring - we were on an island so it was just a lapping session

My last stint was in the dark and I just couldnt see - I was WAY off my earlier pace and just handed over the baton to JE.

My 3rd stint would have been a twilight but due to the issues we had with the car - it was pushed way back.

Tom Long runs a great team and it was a blast running w him.

Re: VIR 13 hour

Congrats on a great run and sorry for your misfortune. Sounds like the Skip Barber drivers with the help of Tom Long were dominant. Well done boys.
