Thunderbolt Weekend

Who is going? I'll be there but for vid only, no racing

New facility, 2 tracks, regional, national, Rolex series, should be interesting

Question Re: Thunderbolt Weekend

Is there any lodging in the area? It being the Labor Day weekend does not help with the availability. Lots of minimum stay stuff.

I believe things are very booked up, I got a cheap room about 14 mi. away at an EconodisLodge, should be frightening
Booked it months ago. Harsha was looking not too long ago and found very little available so not sure. As the event draws near, rooms might actually open up as blocks are released, try a search and see what comes up,
hope to see you there Bob

accommodations from NJMP site

Re: Thunderbolt Weekend

I just cancelled a room last night at an Econo Lodge in Williamstown (ph. 856-262-8400, about 20 miles away, not sure if this is the one Doug was referring to) $70/nite, but it was only Tues through Sat. Thought I could make it but turns out I can't. Only other cheap option I found was a smoking room Econo Vineland. Otherwise looks like there are $200 rooms available within a 30 min drive. Check Priceline for available options.

Have fun y'all.

Re: Thunderbolt Weekend

CDH....Al Carter here..(1st post) I'll be there....but only entered in two groups. Won't be quite as exciting as my triples in Atlanta and Tremblant. I too have been searching for a room. I was only able to get a room in Vineland (10 mins away) Friday night for the low low price of $240. No luck for Saturday. I only live 60 miles away, but track is on the way to South Jersey beaches, not sure of holiday traffic. Plan B...I did find an RV rental place 10 miles away, might be sleeping at the track.

I did puss.... the National along with the regional double was on the Carter radar. Figured I'd just be a spectator, I'll have more time to socialize in the pits and maybe find some face time in front of CDH lenes

Exclamation Re: Thunderbolt Weekend

good time in Joisey but no time to type about it now.

NJMP Race chatter on this page - mp3 race chatter - all regional races and memo posted except G2R1 (didn't record it)

If anyone is interested in an edited version of their incar race vid with chatter, music, stills, anything, drop me an email
(no, not for free - enjoy)
