Re: Pew / Valiante P2 at VIR
Thanks guys..The race sure had its ups and downs..After the first punt in turn 4 for I thought surely I'd hit the wall, but I stopped short and got going again after the last DP was long gone by me. I caught back up and struggled to get around JC and the BMW..After the yellow and restart I passed JC after turn one but he punts me off going into Nascar 3. I was lucky to stop short of the wall and lucky not to fill the radiator with grass. I then had to work my way through GT traffic until I handed the car off to Michael..We rolled the dice on pit strategy and with Michaels great driving we pulled a P2 out of it..We surely would have had P1 if not for the lapped traffic that messed up Michael when Gurney got around him..Gurney and Fogerty did a great job, however, and drove well and clean..Both cars werre running on fumes and if not for that last yellow, the results may have been different. So it is with racing. It was also great to have Barry Waddlell on the #6 car team spotting and giving his sage advice..He'll be helpng us at NJMP as well.
