Speed Racer Milka

This is not a joke:

Milka Duno to be in Speed Racer film Milka Duno, the first Latina to race in the Indianapolis 500, will travel this week to Berlin where filming is underway for the 2008 live-action movie Speed Racer. The driver of the #23 CITGO Honda Dallara IndyCar has been set to play the role of Gearbox in the film, which is based on the classic anime series of the 1960s. "I am so excited about the opportunity to appear in such a large movie," said Duno. "Luckily I am only taking part in some of the races this year and when Warner Bros. invited me to take part, I asked my sponsor CITGO for their approval to change my race schedule, which they have kindly granted. I am also grateful to the IndyCar Series for allowing us to withdraw from the Kentucky event at the last minute"
To make up for lost race track time, additional testing is being scheduled in preparation for her remaining 2007 IndyCar race schedule.
IndyCar Series VP of Marketing, Mike Ringham, said, "It is very exciting to have one of our drivers participate in such a high-profile movie. The timing of the movie’s release next year, in May 2008, will hopefully get even more people excited about racing just in time for the world's biggest race, the Indianapolis 500, and we wish her well."
“Speed Racer” is a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, of a Silver Pictures Production. The film is being written and directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski and produced by Joel Silver. “Speed Racer” will follow the adventures of the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory in his thundering Mach 5. Harsha, the girl's real first name is Milka, for cryin' out loud, how big a step back could Gearbox be? Maybe they should call her character Milka Shake? There is no bad publicity.

DOH! STOP IT! I thought Harsha had exclusive rights to the Jager consession? You guys are acting like the twins I dated when I was 20. One orange sweater looks just like another!

Re: Speed Racer Milka

Well, Mike, you have climbed an order of magnitude in my already high esteem for you. In India, we thought we had it all covered for thousands of years with the Kama Sutra. But even we didn't conceive of that most delicious, most delightful, most American contribution to the erotic lexicon-- dating twins!! Unfortunately, I'm a product of a modern India that is so thoroughly repressed that it seems to have lost its leadership position in this arena. So don't tease me-- please tell me it really happened.

And did you, at that tender age, finally stumble onto the foolproof way to solve the sweater problem?

Well, first and foremost, I never kiss and tell. Second, the disco era and the sexual revolution social mores not withstanding, I have consistantly maintained that I was a virgin when I married at age 35. That said, it was several weeks before I could tell them apart. Strictly speaking, I only dated one of them, at least so far as I knew. When I would show up to pick her up they would both make an entrance, sit side by side on the sofa and make me pick the right one. I always told them that if I got to the car with the wrong one I was not turning around for an exchange.
