Yes, sir, officer.

2:05 am. 1st Av and 96th Street in Manhattan.
On the way home from Pork Chop Willie's Fabulous Show!

Pulling away from the gas pump.

Michael Auriemma reaches for a button on the dashboard of the 911 and presses it right before pulling onto First Avenue.

Sue, his trusting wife, remarks, "What did you just do?"

Michael responds, "Turned off the traction control."

"Why?" she naively questions. You'd think she knows her man by now.

And then...what Michael insists was a beautiful display of his driving skills...way more than just CPR (learned about that in my one day driving school!)...no, no, according to Michael it was slide, correct, pause, recover, slide again the other way, yadda, yadda, yadda. Very impressive driving skills.

Not so impressed was the NYC police officer stopped at the light he just passed. Oops!! Bad timing!

To make a long story short, the officer confirms, "You know you were driving like an @#%$?" "Yes, sir, officer."

Michael flashes his "Get Out of Jail Free Card" that a friend who used to be "on the job" gave him. You can't imagine how much this cop wanted to write Michael up. After much deliberation, instead, he takes the card and says if Michael's friend c***s him, he'll give it back. "I'm sorry Johnny but you shouldn't bring these kind of toys to school. If you want it back, your mommy's going to have to come down to the principal's office and get it back."

I am sure Michael will retort this and want to tell his own version...and it is America, so I hope you will *** listen to his story!

This is too funny! You're lucky you didn't get busted for DWI and have your car seized!

This is making it into the TJR headlines for sure...

Priceless things

911TT.... $120,000
Skippy driving lessons... don't ask
New Z rated tires every 5000 miles... $2000

What is priceless?

1- Having a friend that gives you "get out of jail free cards"
2- Having a wife that doesn't kick you #$% for driving like an idiot
3- Being able to drive the car that way in the first place!

Candid Camera

Well, yeah, that video pretty much sums it up. Except, I spun left out of the gas station then right onto 96th... 1 fluid move. But just as was the BMW driver's sad fate... I had a cop right there waiting for me as well. Dang. I hate when that happens!

video

Next time we go out I'm bringing my video camera. If we (by 'we' I mean Michael...) don't make it into America's Stupidest People/Funniest Home Videos, then there's always the TJR website.

And Michael, I think we should swap cars soon. My chance of getting out of my lease quickly is re***y high if the car's in your hands!

Those camcorders come in so handy... Martin, you'd better start carrying yours around so we can get multi-angle shots of the next disaster.
